I wonder whats the difference between Sannie's and this listing
The cross I do of jack never really exceeds 63 days unless I mess it up...
Looks very full and going to be a huge bounty...Thanks for sharing..tempted to try a scrog myself soon....

This is the first "long-flowering" strain I've ever grown. It's hard knowing that my plants have at least 8 more weeks to go, even after 5 weeks of flowering already. But she's supposed to be killer smoke with a great high and taste. We'll see.

I'll probably try a "shorter-flowering" strain of Jack Herer sometime soon to see the difference.

Weekly Update

The pics below were taken a few minutes ago. The plants have been flowering for 6 weeks. About 7 more weeks until harvest.

This is my first SCROG. The canopy of buds is a bit uneven. Not much, but a bit. I'll try to remedy that in my next SCROG.

But I'll tell yall this: SCROGing is fun, and is very manageable room-wise. Most of my future grows will be SCROGs.

Yeah 13 weeks is way off on a real deal Jack Herer, Should be closer to 60 days, or 9 to 10 weeks tops.

I just looked back at Sannie's web page. He says 11-13 weeks for this strain of his. But I'll start looking at trichomes at 8 weeks just to be sure.

This strain gets rave reviews over at RollItUp, and other places I've read. We'll see.

This is my first SCROG grow. I'll try to do a better job of getting all the buds at the same height next grow.

there are many phenol types within a strain and that could easily account the flowering times. longer flowering times can be difficult for new growers with the plants showing more nute issues

No excessive heat. Good humidity. They sure do drink a lot lately.

But there is a bit of leaf rollup. Any idea why?

I have a lot of air circulation, with several fans. One fan is a bit too strong and direct. even though it oscillates. I'm going to cut it off and see if the leaf curl subsides.

Thanks

It's been 2 weeks since my last update. I apologize. I've been out of town on business.

So, tonight marks the end of the 10th week of flowering. According to the breeder, there should be 1-3 weeks left until harvest. I looked at trichomes tonight, and none are amber yet. Most of them are still clear, with some cloudy.

Leaves are yellowing due to the nature of the plants. I'm feeding the plants just like always. I never "starve" my plants.

Pics from tonight are below. The beer can is a 16-ounce tall boy. I added it for reference, but it actually detracts from the true appearance of the buds. Most of the buds are actually fatter and taller than the can, although the angle at which I took the pics makes them look smaller.

I've not grown a great many strains, but these buds are the biggest and fattest I've seen other than AK47 buds.

I'm so anxious. This is the longest flowering strain I've ever grown (11-13 weeks).

This the first SCROG I've ever done. And It's the first time I've grown this particular strain. I hope I'm doing it right.

Here are 2 trichome pics that I took last night. Almost 11 weeks of flowering. I actually took 11 trichome pics all over the canopy, but the 2 below are representative of all 11. Clear and cloudy, with no ambers.

The breeder (Sannie's Shop) says flowering will take anywhere from 11 to 13 weeks. Based upon the very few (if any) amber trichomes, I'd say it will take the full 13 weeks.

Well, just one day shy of the advertised max flowering time (13 weeks), I harvested these 3 plants tonight. 15-20% amber trichomes, which seems to maximize the desired THC-filled cloudy trichomes.

And what a yield it was. It completely overwhelmed a homemade drying rack I made last year, which easily housed a 3-plant AK47 harvest. And AK47 is a well-known large producer.

Pics upcoming. But the final conclusion for me here is that SCROG rules. A low number of plants (good if busted) and a HUGE yield. The best of all worlds for personal growers, IMHO. Again, pics of the harvest upcoming.

Pics of the 27"x27" drying rack last night. There are still enough buds on the plants to fill 1-2 more rows on the rack. I'll harvest them tonight and set them up to dry somewhere else. And move some of these buds there as well so more air can circulate around them.

Many of the buds below are 8-9 inches tall. Though there are some smaller ones as well. The remaining buds on the plants are not as big as most of these.

I'll post pics of nice filled quart jars once the buds are dry enough to begin curing.

Anybody care just for fun to guess what the final dry-and-cured weight will be of the buds on this rack?
