What do you mean when you say "standard 4 week veg"? There really isn't a standard veg period. Curious why you decided to flip before it was sexually mature or showing preflowers?

i got the 4 week veg from Mandala. read on there site that there results where based on a standard 4 week veg.so i went with that. plus, it fits my time table for rotation and such.and with this grow. i am not concerned about it being sexually mature or showing preflowers at this point.but on my next grow. with the Mandala seeds.i will not flip um till they are ready.

scraping this entire grow. i was on vacation for a couple a weeks. and the care taker, let a male contaminate everything!!!!! i have never ever had a male till now.i always planted outside and let nature decide. and i admit i never ever worried about plant sex.cause always had females.i have never seen so many pollen sacks in my life, that plant had several hundred. so frustrating!!! spent several hours cleaning the entire room. maybe i got all the pollen out, maybe not.

spent another couple hours cleaning everything again. and started a germ on mandala seeds. 4 in total. one hashberry, 2 speed queen,and a krystalika. not going to do DWC this grow. i think maybe something i did caused it to turn out male. going to use 2 gallon pots and roots organic this time. maybe i will keep this thread as the second indoor grow, just a reset. veg with t5 this time and not the MH

I like to start under t5...but than after a good size..intro the MH...I think that gets them ready for the HPS....just my thinking

Wasn't your DWC plant the largest and healthiest? I can assure you that there is nothing you did that caused the plant to "turn male"--it just doesn't work that way. Stressed plants can hermy, but they do not turn male. Two gallon pots are quite small. I know that there are some people who do well with small pots, but for a new grower, I would really like to see you use 3 gal or larger. I think that I am going to have to get some Hashberry.

the DWC was the male.sucks 2, cause i spent all those weeks with nutes and water. the small one is female. its in a 3 gallon pot in roots original. its doing great, but will be seedy,cause of that retarded male.i moved it to a new area to grow on its own.and i tossed out 2 more plants that was 2 weeks old, they came from the same bag of smoke as the DWC came out of

As long as you got him out of the house, you might have a few seeds but if you keep the male in the house and go from watering him to your Girls you will really have seeds. IMO I would get rid of the male.

yeah...Best to grow males at least 10 miles away from your grow...that pollen gets everywhere...Im sure you washed everything real well as pollen in the right environment can be violable upto 6 months..I wash everything from the light fixtures..cords..walls floor..(EVERYTHING)...if that was a good Male and your ladies that got hit was good...I would run those seeds before I would run unknown bag seed...just my thaughts

I killed the male, and the dog ate some of him lol , I destroyed all the other plants I had going but one she is growing in a new area, I washed everything the best I could twice, the area is ready for the new babies,but knowing my luck, pollen will still get my girls,if so I guess I will have my own seed bank of quality strains lol as of right now, it's jut the bag seed lady that got hit. And I am never going to grow an unknown seed again unless I know what strain it is

Ya know bbr751....I also like to use a mist sprayer and mist entire room...wate rkills pollen and I like to be sure every nuke and cranny was watered...just be sure no open lights are on...

Knowing what strain it is will not make an difference at all. In this day and age, bagseed is almost certainly from hermy stock. The hermy gene is now a dominant gene and hermies create hermies. I would love to see you throw all those bagseeds away and just grow those Mandala strains.

ok, my babies are 7 days old and 4 days old. have 5 up. 2 speed queen.2 krystalica and on hashberry. i went ahead and put um in 3 gallon pots, vegging under a t5. will let um veg one more week under that light, then i will use the MH ipower bulb. for about 3 weeks, posting pics now
