Havent had big issue with bugs 4u. I like to think mother nature keep the bugs in check. Good bug/Bad bug I do use some preventative measures using organic oils like rosemary/garlic/hot pepper and i will use seven or eight dust if things start munching.

The worst luck ive had is with bud worms. They will burrow into the buds and poop inside of it, which cause Bud Rot. Captain Jacks Dead Bug Brew is all i need to use to control them. Spinosad is the active ingredient.

If you notice the Nurse Larry that is still in a one gallon pot it is in full flower. What would you guys do with her? Heavy dose of high N? Give her as much light as i can and see if she pulls thru? The PGxGG is also throwing a lot of pistils.

Thanks for stopping in guys.

Kindbud, I think he's talking about what I've battled the green bud caterpillars. Little bastards!! Hey drft, how does that stuff work to control them? Is it preventative? Never see them til it's too late because the moths lay eggs on the forming buds, and when they hatch they chew their way out killing the whole top

Ston, its killer stuff. This is an OMRI labeled product from bonide i believe. Its a bacteria that kills the caterpillar and is harmless to pets and people. It only works for leaf-eating insects. So aphids and other sap-sucking insects it doesnt work well. For beetles and Caterpillars its the best product ive found. And its safe to use up to the day before harvest.

I have good results with it. Works up to 2 weeks, doesnt seem to come off with heavy rain. I do know i breaks down quicker in direct sunlight before it dries so spray in the afternoon.

Kindbud they are nasty creatures. You dont want them. The worst part is the bud-rot and total cola loss. Plus when they start eating the green buds, they turn green and are almost impossible to spot.

We've had an invasive species of some kind of termite move into this area over the last few years. 2 years ago my buddy lost almost his entire od crop to them. They eat out the center of the stems and branches, and they do it quick, within a few days the plant is dead, and as they move so quick, there's no symptoms on the plant until it's too late.

He's taken measures against them that worked really well last year, including adding diamectus earth (never spell that right, lol) to his holes and watering in Sierra Naturals Systemic treatment. A systemic treatment might help make the buds unpalpable to those worms too. He also uses the 7 dust

I hate those worms. I seem to get them every time I grow outside. They will eat up a bud quick.

I have some Diatomaceous Earth I am going to try on bugs this season. They say that it kills many bugs by scraping the protective coating of the bugs and they dry up and die. We will see.

Safer makes a natural fungicide spray that when the worms eat it they die from insides out.
The white butterflies are they culprit in my spot to drop the larvae on the plant then which bores inside... I have the battle scars from the worms still mentally haunting

I don't think Diatomacious Earth would help with these, cause the moths fly in and lay the eggs. DT also hard IMO because once you water it flushes away/around, doesnt stay the powdery path of descruction you sprinkle out.

I need to check on these girls and take pics.

Its been miserable hot off and on the last two weeks. Getting rain when we desperatley need it, but not when i want it. I bet they are doing fine but i must go tomorrow and see. They are due for a feed and trim.

Also just received a greenhouse for free. Neighbor of my girlfriends mother had it and is giving us the thing!!! Its the frame, and needs to be covered. Havent seen it in person yet but it should be around 6x8 with headroom to stand.

Here are some pics.

Ive been having trouble with reveg the last two years. I think it has to do with sexing indoors first. For now on i will start seeds outdoors in a greenhouse and place outside

Two are in reveg, one is still budding, and three are vegging out. All 6 have had the same treatment. Sex under t5's 24/0. then 18./6 for a couple weeks before placing them out.
