Importance of Reflected Light in Grow Room

I see Youtube grows of MJ all the time where the light hood is suspended above the plants, but there is no enclosing structure to help the light "reflect around". The MJ grow is just sitting on a table in a small room.

How important do you think "light reflection" from surrounding walls actually add to bud density and/or potency?

without reflected light, you lose tons and tons of lumens!!! if its reflecting, more of the plant gets light.makes for a better grow

IMO, you are just throwing money away if you let your light disburse into areas where you have no plants. I can't say whether it affects potency, but when you have no reflective walls around your plants, they are getting less light. Less light means less yield. There is a lot of not good stuff on You Tube...
