Notorious O.G. Aero with LED

Hey guys.
it's been a while, I've been very busy the last few months...

As I mentioned before I've been thinking about trying out LED lighting for a while now and I've finally put together a little testing environment.

The setup is:
40x40 Tent
9x 30W Sanlight LEDs


Growtools Growsystem Aero 40"


Nutes: Canna Aqua Series

Currently I am waiting for my 10 Notorious OG seedlings to grow big enough so I can take 2-3 cuttings each to fill the aero system:





Compared to most LED-Panels you find on the Net, the M30s are ridiculously expensive (about 170$ for one 30W Panel) - but they are passively cooled and you're supposed to get much better results due to the more homogeneous illumination of the tent. So far they look great, but we'll have to wait and see if they live up to their price.

I am curious as to what the aero looks like under the hood. I use a 3 ft tray w homemade delivery manifolds.

I can take a couple of pics next week (camera is broken...). For now this kinda shows the basic idea:
- it's just a grid of these parts:





The NotOG's are coming along nicely. They seem to have a very dense growth so far.
I added a regular 250W bulb to get some more stretch out of them so I can cut my clones little earlier. I guess I can get startet in about 10-14 days.

The propagator holds 36 clones (caramelo and motavation) for the bigger aero system on the right side (no LED).

thanks for sharing a LED grow. It seems to be a slow horse but in the end I believe the lights being designed for growing are someday going to take over

Hey guys.

Just a quick update while I'm @work:

It took a while longer than expected before my seedlings where big enough to supply the 25 cuttings needed for the aero system.

Monday I finally got the system up and running and I guess I'll be switching to 12/12 today or tomorrow.

So finally we'll get to see the M30-LED in action. I can't wait for the results

I'll post pictures tonight or tomorrow and keep you up to date more frequently now!

a question about the setup with the HID lights.i dont see a cool tube. what are the light wattage? and you can keep it cool with tent closed? vent in and out? just wondering.

So here are the pics I promised.
One lady didn't survive the move to the aerosystem - but the others are standing strong.
I guess I'll switch to 12/12 tomorrow.

Since it's new phenos from 5 different mothers I have no Idea how long the flowering will take - but we'll know more in about 60 to 80 days

Sure, theres a 500cc vent out and 350cc in with a pressure controller.

Keeps it cool at all times and works almost silent as long as it's not too hot outside. In the summer I either take the heat or switch to 400W. I found that with the aero system the plants will be ok with a little higher temps in the summer as long as the water is kept at a cool 65°.
